Choose your driving motion simulator

Until you experience a SimCraft and spend 15 minutes tuning it to your liking, you have no idea what motion simulation can feel like.

Until you experience a SimCraft and spend 15 minutes tuning it to your liking, you have no idea what motion simulation can feel like. One of the most incorrectly used phrases in simulation is “full motion”. By definition, there are 6 degrees of freedom in 3d space: Roll, Pitch, Yaw, Surge, Sway, and Heave. There are combinations of these degrees of freedom, and relative nested degrees of freedom within certain simulation applications where more than 6 degrees of freedom are technically possible.

For example, the Lexus sim which you can find on YouTube, is a hexapod (6 degrees of freedom), that travels around a warehouse on at least 2 additional degrees of freedom. At a minimum this sim has 8 degrees of freedom. However, there are still only 6 ways to move in a 3d space.
