SimCraft was selected to provide Tony an APEX motion simulator, for his portion of the competition.

The hour long event saw Ray Alfala, multi time iRacing Stock Car Champion, take the win in the first heat race and sponsored SimCraft driver Dylan Duval, who competes in iRacing’s top series, take the top spot in the second heat. This set up an interesting final round where the best of the sim world would go up against a multi time real world NASCAR champion. Allen Boes took the feature win in dominant fashion over P.J. and Jake Stergios. Stewart ran extremely well and found more speed every time he went out for a new session.

“Tony’s time in the SimCraft unit was really fun to watch.” said Matthew Thill, SimCraft’s director of sales. “We worked with him to ensure he was comfortable with the sim overall, and helped dial in the car feel for him. When we asked Tony which change made the most impact on his first SimCraft experience, his comments on our motion technology are something we hear alot of.”

“When you changed the yaw, that was a HUGE change.”, said Stewart. “Right before the car was about to get loose I could feel it and that feeling is something you can’t teach people. That’s what makes race car drivers race car drivers. They have to have that sense of feel. Being able to adjust the simulator to an individual in order for them to pick up that feeling is a large part of the battle”.
