Hendrick Motorsports hires SimCraft

Hendrick Motorsports contracted with SimCraft to update two of their show car simulators. The simulators are actual race used NASCAR Sprint Cup chassis that have been modified for simulator use.

SimCraft is contracted to integrate new technology into the sims, including new Panasonic 39″ HD TVs, a 500W 5.1 audio surround system, and state of the art vibration technology integrated into the Hendrick made, race used carbon fiber seats.

Additionally, SimCraft designed and integrated a gas and brake pedal utilizing techniques from their proprietary race pedals used in their professional racing APEX motion simulator product line.

Direct drive servo units from SimSteering were also integrated into the steering force feedback system. This same force feedback technology is used in several F1 simulators.

The two simulators will be touring the country with Hendrick Motorsports during the upcoming 2015 NASCAR season.
