SimCraft announced a contract with Polyphony Digital and Sony today that allows for the distribution of an integration between Gran Turismo 6 and SimCraft motion technologies.
Customers of any SimCraft motion systems will have access to the interface at no additional charge.
The combined product of Gran Turismo 6 and the SimCraft APEX3 GT motion simulator was showcased last month at the World Endurance Championship race at Fuji Raceway, in Japan.
“SimCraft Japan was instrumental in forging this technological collaboration, and historic partnership.” said Sean Patrick MacDonald, co-founder of SimCraft. “The video gaming console makers have never before allowed for a physics based motion integration until now.”, continued MacDonald. “I speak for the entire SimCraft universe when I say I hope this is the start of an evolution for the video gamers of the world. Our forthcoming commercialized motion technologies combined with new experiential graphics technologies like Project Morpheus and Oculus Rift will blow peoples minds and reset expectations of what immersive gaming can be.”
