Direct X11 adds a new dimension in visual realism to the superior performance of the patented SimCraft full motion simulation technology

San Francisco, CA (September 11th, 2009) -- AMD (NYSE: AMD) creates the perfect storm of technology by showcasing their latest ATI 5870 graphics card supporting three monitors deployed on two state-of-the-art SimCraft APEX sc830 3DOF racing simulators. Using the highest native resolution available, the Eyefinity technology coupled with SimCraft's racing simulator has produced the world's most realistic racecar driving simulation.

The AMD experience event was held aboard the USS Hornet moored at historic Alameda Point in San Francisco Bay on Sept 10th, 2009. The simulators were brought in from the Los Angeles area specifically for the event and were operated by certified SimCraft technicians. One sim was supplied by the Fiamme Restaurant in Thousand Oaks, CA where owner Jerry White makes it publicly available for an unparalleled simracing experience. The second unit was provided by Performance Physixx, Santa Monica, CA and has been returned to owner Simon Hayes for the company's neuromuscular and driver response time training programs. Performance Physixx is also a certified sales agent for the sc830.

"Using the ATI Eyefinity technology is a perfect fit for our multiple monitor racing simulators", says Tom Ciesielka, SimCraft Operations Officer. "The native support for three or six monitors with the highest resolution possible ensures a great visual simulation for driving a car. Combine that with our APEX sc830 and the result is a highly compelling immersive experience."
